Tuia Mātauranga GeoTour

The Tuia Mātauranga GeoTour, a modern take on a treasure hunt, encourages fun discovering local histories in communities of Aotearoa New Zealand. Isolated for millennia, this country developed into a beautiful archipelago with beaches, rivers and lakes, mountains and plains, unique animals and plants. A land rich in resources. It has histories of exploration, voyaging and migration from the Pacific, Europe and other nations. The interaction between people, and people and the land, have provided a rich history.

Come and explore!
